HOW WE WORK
Editorial policy
The standards Honey & Heat Kitchen follows for every recipe and article on Hot Honey.
Accuracy
- Food-safety statements (internal temperatures, storage, infant honey warnings) follow USDA FSIS, FoodSafety.gov, CDC, or FDA guidance.
- We don’t make medical or nutrition claims, and we don’t publish validated shelf-life claims for homemade infusions.
- Times are estimates; recipes tell you to check doneness with a thermometer.
Sources
We prefer primary, official, or peer-reviewed sources and link them in each article’s sources section. Brand or retailer pages are never used as evidence for safety claims.
Authorship
All content is published by Honey & Heat Kitchen as a team. We don’t attribute content to people, credentials, or awards that don’t exist.
Images
AI-generated photos are labeled “Illustrative image (AI-generated)”. We don’t present them as photos of tested dishes.
Independence
Affiliate links don’t decide recipe content. We don’t accept payment for recipes or reviews. See our affiliate disclosure.
Updates and corrections
We review content regularly and when readers report problems. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly, and the page’s “Last updated” date is changed. Report a problem through the contact page.
